You’ve seen those beautiful family photos online or in your friends homes and thought, “MAN, I should probably book a session” — but then you don’t.
“My life is just soooooo busy.“
News flash – we’re all busy. TRUST ME. This is coming from a mom of two who runs two full time businesses that make up the entirety of our families income. There are some days I even forget how to sleep I’m so busy. But really, family photos are IMPORTANT. We need to make time for them. No matter how busy your days are, I promise you it’s worth it.
“I dunno, we’re not the family picture type of family.“
There is not TYPE of family who can use family photos. Family photos are a way to document you, your family, your life! Your future generations deserve that documentation. =
“It’s not really a priority, I mean we can always get them next year.“
But then the next year comes and the next and the next. And soon you realize it’s been 8 years since you had photos of your family together. Think how much your children have changed!
Well, what are you waiting for? Looking for a reason to finally take the leap? You’ll be surprised, the reasons are right in front of your nose
1.) GET OUT FROM BEHIND THAT CAMERA. As a mom I often notice other mothers spending a whole lot of time behind the camera and not in front of it with their families. I see image after image of Dad’s and their kiddos photographed my mom, kids playing– but no mama! While the invention of the camera phone has been an awesome game changer in the world of memory documentation it is SO important to make sure you’re in those photos as well! Booking your family session is a great way for you to relax and let us do the planning for you. We work with you to find locations that work best for session and to style your family. Investing in family photography will become a tradition you will look forward to.
2.) TO DOCUMENT THE CHANGES IN YOUR CHILDREN. Our little ones change SO quickly. They get taller, they lose the chubby baby thighs, their hair gets long, the sun lightens those big loopy curls. Document all those little quirks now so you can look back and cherish them later. I know that for me, looking at an album full of photos of my little ones always brings me back to the memories of holding their tiny feet in my hands, the smell of their hair, the sound of their giggles. There is really nothing sweeter.
3.) BOOST YOUR SELF ESTEEM. Sometimes it feels easier to be hard on ourselves than to give ourselves a compliment. As moms and wives it’s easy to get wrapped up in all of the titles and hats we give ourselves than to stop and just be. Take this session to your advantage, wear something beautiful, spoil yourself and get your hair done. Show up to your session and just relax and be. Enjoy your littles, enjoy your significant other. I promise you that there is nothing better than looking back at photos of you and your family as you are enjoying each other and breathing in the moment. It’s breathtaking and timeless.
4.) BECAUSE YOUR FUTURE GENERATIONS WILL CHERISH THE MEMORIES. Seriously, though. Isn’t it wonderful to look through your families old photographs. Now stop and think how often most of us print a photo. Or take a photo of our family in general? It’s so important to document not only for your children as they grow up so they can see themselves and their family grow but also so that your grandchildren, their grandchildren AND BEYOND THAT even will be able to look back and see a piece of the history that led to their existence. How beautiful is that?
5.) TO CELEBRATE THE TWO PEOPLE WHO STARTED IT ALL. Remember at one time it was just you, just the two of you. It was first kisses, racing hearts and holding hands. Although it may get lost in the busy cloud of parenthood and, well, life in general the two of you are the reason your crazy brood even exists. Whether you have children by birth or adoption your LOVE began this journey. That’s something to be cherished. And it’s definitely something to be celebrated.
